Job Description – Customer Relationship Manager (CRM)

Job Title: Customer Relationship Manager – Wealth Management (Mutual Funds)

Level: Mid-Level

Department: Client Relationship / Wealth Advisory

Location: Kolkata

Reports To: Head of Client Relations

Role Overview

The Customer Relationship Manager (CRM) – Mutual Funds at the mid-level will be responsible for managing a portfolio of retail and HNI clients, driving client engagement, and ensuring superior service delivery. The role requires strong expertise in Mutual Funds, ability to provide tailored investment solutions, and proactive relationship management to achieve business growth and customer satisfaction.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage and deepen relationships with existing clients to ensure satisfaction, retention, and increased AUM (Assets Under Management).
  • Understand clients’ investment goals, risk profiles, and recommend suitable Mutual Fund products (SIP, STP, SWP, Lump Sum, etc.).
  • Conduct periodic portfolio reviews and provide timely performance updates.
  • Ensure smooth execution of transactions, documentation, and compliance with regulatory requirements.
  • Coordinate with research, operations, and compliance teams to deliver seamless client service.
  • Handle and resolve client concerns with professionalism and accuracy.
  • Identify opportunities for cross-selling and upselling of wealth management products beyond Mutual Funds (insurance, bonds, PMS, etc.).
  • Maintain accurate client data, investment records, and reporting in CRM systems.
  • Stay updated with SEBI regulations, AMFI guidelines, and market trends to provide informed advice.
  • Contribute to revenue targets through client retention and acquisition support.

Education

  • Bachelor’s degree in Commerce, Finance, Economics, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • MBA/PGDM in Finance/Marketing preferred.
  • NISM-Series V-A: Mutual Fund Distributors certification (mandatory).

Experience

  • 3–6 years of experience in client relationship management within the Mutual Fund / Wealth Management / BFSI industry.
  • Proven track record of managing client portfolios and achieving growth in AUM.
  • Prior experience in handling HNI and affluent clients is an advantage.

Skills & Competencies

  • Strong knowledge of mutual fund products, financial planning, and investment strategies.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
  • Analytical ability to interpret financial data and market trends.
  • Client-focused mindset with strong service orientation.
  • Proficiency in MS Excel, PowerPoint, and CRM software.
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet targets.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: ₹25,000.00 - ₹30,000.00 per month

Ability to commute/relocate:

  • Beck Bagan, Kolkata, West Bengal: Reliably commute or planning to relocate before starting work (Preferred)

Willingness to travel:

  • 25% (Preferred)
