Job Description

Collibra Developer

Responsibilities

  • Develop Custom Integrations:

    Design, develop, test, and deploy custom integration solutions using

    Collibra Connect

    to synchronize metadata from various source systems (databases, data lakes, APIs, etc.).
  • Workflow Automation:

    Build and implement complex, automated workflows using

    BPMN

    and

    Groovy scripting

    to support data stewardship, issue management, and data quality processes.
  • API Development:

    Leverage Collibras REST and Java APIs to build custom applications, automate administrative tasks, and enable programmatic access to the data catalog.
  • Platform Customization:

    Customize the Collibra user experience by developing custom dashboards, views, and validation rules to meet specific business needs.
  • Troubleshoot and Optimize:

    Diagnose, debug, and resolve technical issues within custom workflows and integrations. Optimize code for performance, scalability, and reliability.
  • Adhere to SDLC Practices:

    Follow software development lifecycle (SDLC) best practices, including version control (Git), code reviews, unit testing, and continuous integration/continuous deployment (CI/CD) processes.

Required Skills & Experience

  • Education:

    Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related technical field.
  • Development Experience:

    2+ years of professional software development experience, with a minimum of 1 year focused specifically on Collibra development.
  • Core Programming Skills:

    Strong proficiency in

    Java

    is essential for developing Collibra Connect integrations. Experience with scripting languages, particularly

    Groovy

    , is required for workflow customization.
  • Collibra Technical Expertise:

    • Hands-on experience developing custom templates with

      Collibra Connect

      .
    • Proven ability to design and implement complex

      BPMN

      (Business Process Model and Notation) workflows.
    • Deep understanding of the Collibra Data Dictionary and metamodel.
  • Certification:

    Collibra Workflow Engineer / Collibra Integration Engineer would be a plus.
  • Agile

    : Ability to work in agile environment with tools like Jira and its workflows
  • APIs and Web Services:

    In-depth knowledge and hands-on experience working with

    REST APIs

    , JSON, and XML for building robust integrations.
  • Database Skills:

    Strong proficiency in

    SQL

    and experience working with relational databases (e.g., PostgreSQL, SQL Server, Oracle).
