Job Summary: We are seeking a seasoned COBOL Developer with expertise in modern .NET environments to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for developing, maintaining, and enhancing COBOL-based modules that are integrated with .NET systems. This role demands strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and close collaboration with cross-functional teams to ensure system reliability, and performance. Key Responsibilities: Develop, maintain, and support COBOL-based modules integrated into .NET systems. Work closely with business analysts and functional teams to understand and implement payroll logic. Enhance and refactor existing code for better performance and maintainability. Collaborate with C#/.NET developers to ensure smooth system-wide integration. Document changes, perform unit testing, and support QA teams. Troubleshoot production issues and ensure timely resolution. Required Skills: 5+ years of experience in COBOL programming within a modern .NET-based environment (non-mainframe). Proficiency in C#, with the ability to understand and interact with .NET codebases. Strong understanding of payroll processing systems and calculations. Ability to analyze legacy COBOL logic and translate it into optimized code. Solid communication skills able to explain technical concepts clearly.
