Cloudops manager

Role Overview:

As a DevOps Manager at Tekion, you will lead a world-class team responsible for continuous integration, delivery, and the reliable operation of global SaaS infrastructure. This is a hands-on leadership role that combines strategic direction, team mentorship, and deep technical expertise in cloud, automation, monitoring, deployment, security, and process improvement. You will collaborate closely with Cloud Automation, DBRE, platform, and product engineering teams to strengthen CloudOps as Tekion continues to scale.

Key Responsibilities

Team Leadership & Growth:

Build, mentor, and inspire a high-performing DevOps team focused on technical excellence, innovation, and collaboration.

CloudOps Strategy & Roadmap

Define and execute the DevOps transformation vision, including automation, CI/CD, infrastructure as code, and platform reliability.

Monitoring, Incident Management & Reliability

Ensure robust monitoring, alerting, and incident response to maintain platform health and availability using tools such as Prometheus, ELK, and Datadog.

Security & Compliance

Work with security teams to implement DevSecOps principles, embedding security, compliance, and policy-as-code into all DevOps practices.

Collaboration & Stakeholder Management

Act as a champion of DevOps best practices, promoting automation, observability, and shared responsibility for uptime and performance across engineering.

Continuous Improvement

Identify inefficiencies in developer and operations workflows, and drive improvements in processes, cost optimization, and reliability.

Documentation & Knowledge Sharing

Ensure comprehensive documentation of systems, processes, automation, and runbooks while fostering a culture of learning and knowledge sharing.

Skills & Experience Required

Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or equivalent experience.7+ years of experience in DevOps or Cloud Operations, with at least 3 years in team leadership or management.Hands-on expertise in cloud-native DevOps, particularly AWS and Azure, CI/CD, and infrastructure automation at scale.Strong skills in containerization (Docker, Kubernetes), infrastructure as code (Terraform, CloudFormation, Ansible), and cloud security best practices.Experience building and running large-scale cloud production systems requiring high uptime.Proven ability to build, scale, and mentor technical teams in fast-paced SaaS environments.Strong problem-solving, communication, and leadership skills.Experience with incident response, root cause analysis, and operational excellence.Knowledge of cloud regulatory and compliance requirements is a plus.
