About The Role

We are hiring a

Backend Engineer

with expertise in

Node.js

and

Django/FastAPI

. The role will focus on building backend services, designing APIs, and ensuring seamless integrations across internal and external systems. This is a hands-on engineering position where you’ll directly contribute to the foundation of our product.

Responsibilities

Design, develop, and maintain backend services in Node.js and Django/FastAPI.
Build, integrate, and manage APIs for internal systems and third-party services.
Ensure backend applications are secure, reliable, and optimized for scale.
Collaborate with frontend teams to deliver complete product features.
Manage relational and NoSQL databases, write optimized queries, and maintain data integrity.
Implement best practices in authentication, authorization, and API security.
Debug, monitor, and optimize backend performance.
Maintain proper technical documentation of services and APIs.

Requirements

Strong professional experience with Node.js and Django/FastAPI.
Proven track record of building RESTful APIs (GraphQL experience is a plus).
Hands-on experience with databases (Postgres, MySQL, MongoDB, etc.).
Familiarity with API authentication standards (OAuth2, JWT).
Proficiency with Git, version control, and CI/CD pipelines.
Solid understanding of system design and scalable architectures.
Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work in fast-paced environments.

Nice to Have

Experience with cloud platforms (AWS/GCP/Azure).
Knowledge of containerization and orchestration (Docker, Kubernetes).
Exposure to event-driven systems and message queues (Kafka, RabbitMQ).
Experience with logging and monitoring tools (Grafana, Prometheus, ELK).
