About The Role
We are hiring a
Backend Engineer
with expertise in
Node.js
and
Django/FastAPI
. The role will focus on building backend services, designing APIs, and ensuring seamless integrations across internal and external systems. This is a hands-on engineering position where you’ll directly contribute to the foundation of our product.
Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and maintain backend services in Node.js and Django/FastAPI.
- Build, integrate, and manage APIs for internal systems and third-party services.
- Ensure backend applications are secure, reliable, and optimized for scale.
- Collaborate with frontend teams to deliver complete product features.
- Manage relational and NoSQL databases, write optimized queries, and maintain data integrity.
- Implement best practices in authentication, authorization, and API security.
- Debug, monitor, and optimize backend performance.
- Maintain proper technical documentation of services and APIs.
Requirements
- Strong professional experience with Node.js and Django/FastAPI.
- Proven track record of building RESTful APIs (GraphQL experience is a plus).
- Hands-on experience with databases (Postgres, MySQL, MongoDB, etc.).
- Familiarity with API authentication standards (OAuth2, JWT).
- Proficiency with Git, version control, and CI/CD pipelines.
- Solid understanding of system design and scalable architectures.
- Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work in fast-paced environments.
Nice to Have
- Experience with cloud platforms (AWS/GCP/Azure).
- Knowledge of containerization and orchestration (Docker, Kubernetes).
- Exposure to event-driven systems and message queues (Kafka, RabbitMQ).
- Experience with logging and monitoring tools (Grafana, Prometheus, ELK).
