As a Manager of CRE teams at Searce, your primary responsibility is to ensure the delivery of excellent Cloud Managed Services to our customers. You will be tasked with planning, organizing, and overseeing staff and CRE operations to maintain the stability of customer infrastructure. Implementation of CRE principles including blameless PostMortem and automation, as well as defining and enforcing configuration management and change management policies, are crucial aspects of this role. In this position, you will handle escalations, provide tier-2 and 3 escalation support, and serve as the primary point of contact for inquiries from other departments. Building trusted relationships with application team members, proactively driving issue resolutions, and mapping effectively with critical application teams will be essential for success. Additionally, you will drive the remediation of cloud performance, security, and cost issues while facilitating regular client reviews and highlighting achievements and roadmaps. Your role will also involve designing, building, maintaining, and scaling monitoring services across multiple environments, both in cloud and on-prem deployments. Managing tools, systems, and procedures to ensure dynamic issue and customer management, guiding customer teams on AWS Compute, Storage, Network, Database, and Security, and providing FinOps suggestions to optimize cloud costs are key responsibilities. Furthermore, you will identify areas for process and efficiency improvement, recommend enhancements, oversee implementation, and drive continual process improvement through task automation, enterprise-wide monitoring initiatives, and routine administration tasks. Hiring, developing, and retaining responsive and customer-focused engineers to ensure departmental effectiveness and high resource utilization will also be part of your role. To qualify for this position, you should have a minimum of 7 years of experience managing operations in a 24/7 environment, with a preferred 4+ years" experience in building and managing high-performance 24/7 CRE teams. An excellent understanding of monitoring tools such as Grafana, Prometheus, Kibana, AWS, Azure, and GCP, as well as expertise in at least one cloud platform, preferably AWS, are required. Possession of Project Management Certifications would be advantageous. Years of experience needed - 5+ years of relevant experience in AWS networking. Technical Skills: Responsible for Design, implement, and manage all network services within the AWS cloud environment, including VPCs, Route 53, Transit Gateways, Direct Connect, IPSec VPN, ELB, and more. Exposure and good understanding in core tenants to be considered when deploying on a Cloud, especially the Network components (WAF, AWS Firewalls, NSGs, Routing, ELBs). Experience of Hub and Spoke model of VPCs and Transit Gateway, VPC peering both region and global. Experience of Public/Private peering between ISP and Cloud providers like AWS for dedicated connectivity. Experience in deploying cloud native firewall or virtual firewall appliances in high availability using load balancers. Experience in deploying remote access VPN and site-to-site VPN on the cloud. Deployment and management of Cloud Network Infrastructure. Experience and understanding of SD-WAN concepts using Cisco Meraki. Deployment of SD WAN physical and virtual appliances on sites and integration with cloud. Good understanding on managing applications at scale and how cloud addresses problems faced when designing distributed scalable applications that are deployed across regions. Knowledge on Micro services and Cloud Native. Expertise in creating, modifying, and managing Zscaler rules to enforce web security policies. Familiarity with threat intelligence feeds and their integration with Zscaler. Skill in configuring SSL inspection and decryption within Zscaler. Knowledge of Zscaler reporting and analytics for threat detection. Proficiency in setting up, configuring, and managing VPN solutions, including site-to-site and remote access VPNs.
