Role & responsibilities

Job Summary:

We are looking for a skilled AWS Cloud Engineer to join our IT Infrastructure & Cloud Services team. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience designing, deploying, and managing scalable, secure, and reliable cloud infrastructure using AWS services.

Key Responsibilities:

• Design and implement cloud infrastructure solutions on AWS, including EC2, S3, RDS, Lambda, VPC, and IAM.

• Automate infrastructure provisioning and management using tools like CloudFormation, Terraform, or AWS CDK.

• Monitor, troubleshoot, and optimize cloud environments for performance, cost, and security.

• Implement and manage CI/CD pipelines using AWS CodePipeline, CodeBuild, and third-party tools like Jenkins.

• Collaborate with DevOps, Security, and Application teams to ensure smooth cloud operations and deployments.

• Ensure compliance with cloud governance, security best practices, and data protection standards.

• Maintain and improve disaster recovery and high availability strategies.

Required Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.

• 3+ years of hands-on experience with AWS cloud services.

• Strong scripting and automation skills (Python, Bash, PowerShell).

• Experience with containerization (Docker, ECS, or EKS).

• Familiarity with networking concepts: VPC, VPN, Direct Connect, Route 53.

• Understanding of identity and access management (IAM), KMS, and security best practices in AWS.

• Experience with monitoring tools (CloudWatch, Datadog, etc.).

Preferred Qualifications:

• AWS Certified Solutions Architect Associate or equivalent certification.

• Experience with hybrid cloud environments and AWS Outposts.

• Knowledge of DevSecOps principles and tools (e.g., AWS Inspector, Guard Duty).

• Experience in cost optimization using AWS Cost Explorer and Trusted Advisor.
