Job Description

Roles and Responsibilities

Design, develop, and execute automated test scripts for web, mobile, or API-based applications
Analyze requirements and create detailed test scenarios and test cases
Identify, document, and track defects through defect management tools
Collaborate closely with developers, business analysts, and product teams to ensure high-quality deliverables
Perform regression testing, functional testing, integration testing, and system testing
Maintain and enhance existing automation frameworks
Participate in code reviews and ensure best practices in test automation
Prepare test data and maintain test documentation
Provide regular status updates to the project lead or manager
Ensure automation coverage and improve test execution efficiency
Work in agile environments and actively participate in sprint ceremonies

Skills Needed

Strong experience in automation tools such as Selenium, Playwright, Cypress, Appium, or similar
Experience with programming languages like Java, Python, JavaScript, or C#
Hands-on experience with automation frameworks (TestNG, JUnit, BDD, Cucumber, POM, etc.)
Good understanding of CI/CD tools such as Jenkins, GitLab, or Azure DevOps
Experience with API testing using tools like Postman, REST Assured, or similar
Strong understanding of STLC, SDLC, and defect management processes
Knowledge of cloud-based testing platforms is an advantage
Strong analytical, debugging, and problem-solving skills
Good communication and client-interaction abilities
