Role & responsibilities

Overall exp : 6+

Mandatory skills : Robot EOAT Design, SolidWorks, PLC, HMI, and SCADA.

Work location :  Chennai

Qualification Criteria : B.E/M.E Mechanical

Location: Chennai

Key Responsibilities:

• Design and develop custom EOATs for various Cobot applications (e.g., pick-and-place, welding, assembly).
• Design manipulator arms and mechanical systems tailored to specific automation tasks.
• Integrate robotic systems with industrial control platforms including

  PLC

  ,

  HMI

  , and

  SCADA

  .
• Collaborate with electrical and software engineers to ensure seamless system integration.
• Conduct feasibility studies, simulations, and prototyping of robotic solutions.
• Perform risk assessments and ensure compliance with safety standards (ISO/TS 15066, CE, etc.).
• Support installation, commissioning, and troubleshooting of robotic systems on-site.
• Document design specifications, test results, and integration procedures.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

• Bachelors or Master’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Robotics, Mechatronics, or related field.
• 6+ years of experience in EOAT and manipulator design for Cobots (e.g., UR, FANUC, KUKA, ABB).
• Experience with vision systems and sensor integration.
• Exposure to AI/ML-based robotic control systems.
• Certifications in automation or robotics (e.g., Siemens PLC, UR Academy).
• Proficiency in CAD tools (SolidWorks, Catia, UG NX, etc.).
• Strong understanding of PLC programming (Siemens, Allen-Bradley, Mitsubishi, etc.).
• Experience with industrial communication protocols (Ethernet/IP, Modbus, ProfiNet).
• Familiarity with robotic simulation tools (e.g., RoboDK, V-REP, or similar).
• Knowledge of safety standards and collaborative robot compliance.
• Excellent problem-solving and project management skills.
