Job Summary:

GST compliance

Key Responsibilities:

• GST Compliance:

  Oversee all aspects of GST compliance for a Giant E-commerce Operator, including the preparation, review, and filing of monthly, quarterly, and annual GST returns (GSTR-1, GSTR-3B, GSTR-9, etc.).

• Tax & GL Reconciliation:

  Perform detailed reconciliation of GST data with the general ledger and other financial records to ensure accuracy and resolve any discrepancies.

• Data Management:

  Handle and analyze large volumes of financial data to ensure accuracy in tax reporting and compliance.

• Financial Analysis:

  Utilize strong analytical skills to interpret financial data, identify trends, and provide insights to support business decisions.

• Accounting Expertise:

  Apply very strong accounting concepts to ensure all transactions are recorded accurately and in compliance with accounting standards.

• Communication:

  Liaise with internal departments, external auditors, and tax authorities. Clearly communicate complex tax and accounting information to stakeholders at all levels.

• Process Improvement:

  Identify opportunities to streamline and improve tax and accounting processes for greater efficiency and accuracy.

• Reporting:

  Prepare and present regular reports on GST, tax liabilities, and reconciliation status to senior management.

Required Qualifications & Skills:

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field. A Master's degree or professional certification (e.g., CA, CMA) is highly preferred.
• Proven experience in a similar role with a strong focus on GST, direct, and indirect taxation.

• Expert knowledge of GST laws, regulations, and filing procedures.

• Demonstrated experience in

  tax and GL reconciliation.

• Proficiency in handling and analyzing

  large datasets

  using tools like MS Excel (Advanced) or other data analysis software.

• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills

  with a high degree of accuracy and attention to detail.

• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

• Very strong understanding of fundamental accounting concepts

  and principles.
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
