Qualcomm India Private Limited is seeking talented and self-motivated engineers to join the Engineering Group in the Systems Engineering department. The primary focus of this role is to contribute to the development of a power-efficient GPU compiler that plays a crucial role in enabling markets such as VR, IoT, AI, drones, autonomous driving, and more. As part of the team, you will be responsible for creating top-notch GPU compiler products that facilitate high-performance graphics and computing with minimal power consumption. Key responsibilities of this position include collaborating with compiler developers on testing and verification for various graphics languages and development targets. Additionally, you will be involved in the development of high-quality automation tools. It is expected that all Qualcomm employees actively promote diversity within their teams and the company. To excel in this role, you should possess hands-on experience in test methodology, test processes, testing automation, and verification techniques. A strong understanding of software releases, integration, and configuration management processes and tools such as Git, Make, CMake, MSBuild, JIRA, and Perforce is essential. Familiarity with product software development, integration, release processes/strategies, and programming skills in scripting languages like Python and Perl are required. Proficiency in tools/automation development, including C/C++, Python/Django, and database management, is also highly valued. Effective communication skills across various levels and disciplines are crucial for success in this role. The ability to work in Windows, Linux, and Android environments, coupled with being self-motivated, adaptable, and capable of working independently with limited supervision, are key attributes sought in potential candidates. A minimum of 2 to 10 years of hands-on experience in the aforementioned areas is preferred. Qualifications for this position include a Bachelor's degree, Master's degree, or PhD in Engineering, Information Systems, Computer Science, or a related field, along with relevant work experience in Systems Engineering. This role bridges customer engineering , system validation , and eMMC / UFS spec compliance . As the key player of system validation, expected to own the validation strategy, debug and triage system-level issues Key Responsibilities System-Level Validation Strategy: Architect and define test strategies for system-level UFS validation, covering protocol compliance, performance, power, and interoperability. Develop validation plans aligned with JEDEC/UFS/UFSHCI/UFS-MIPI specifications. Customer Engineering Interface: Act as the primary technical liaison between internal engineering teams and field application engineers. Provide hands-on support in customer system validation, issue triage, root cause analysis, and resolution. Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work with firmware, hardware, ASIC, and software teams to align system validation with product development cycles. Debug and Automation: Use advanced tools (e.g., protocol analyzers, oscilloscopes, logic analyzers) for deep-dive debugging. Support and enhance test automation infrastructure for scalable validation. Qualifications Bachelors or Masters in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or related field 8+ years of experience in system-level validation or embedded systems, with at least 3 years focused on UFS/EMMC/PCIe/NVMe or other high-speed storage interfaces Deep understanding of eMMC, UFS, UFSHCI, MIPI UniPro/MPHY protocols and storage stacks. Proficient in Python, or scripting languages for test automation and validation. Strong hands-on experience with validation tools like Lecroy, Tektronix, or protocol analyzers. Familiarity with embedded Linux/Android environments and kernel-level storage subsystems. Strong problem-solving and debugging skills. Excellent written and verbal communication skills to effectively engage with customers and internal teams. Ability to lead initiatives and influence across cross-functional teams.
