Job Description

Job Summary:

Accountant

Role & responsibilities:

Maintain and update daily accounting records (sales, purchases, payments, receipts, and journal entries).
Prepare and review financial statements, ledgers, and trial balance.
Handle monthly, quarterly, and annual closing activities.
Reconcile bank statements and monitor cash flow.
Manage accounts payable and receivable, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.
Prepare and file GST, TDS, and other statutory returns as per compliance.
Assist in payroll processing and maintain salary-related accounting entries.
Support in internal and external audits by providing necessary documentation.
Generate MIS reports and financial summaries for management review.
Maintain confidentiality and ensure accuracy in all financial transactions.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

Bachelors degree in Commerce, Accounting, or Finance (Masters degree preferred).
Minimum
2 years of experience
in accounting or finance.
Strong understanding of accounting principles and Indian taxation laws.
Proficiency in
Tally ERP/ Excel
(or any accounting software).
Excellent analytical, numerical, and problem-solving skills.
Attention to detail, accuracy, and time management.
Good communication and teamwork skills.

Preferred candidate profile

Knowledge of MIS reporting and budgeting.
Familiarity with audit procedures.
