3D Artist

Job Description: As a 3D Artist at Ubisoft, you will play a crucial role in producing high-quality AAA environment assets for our projects. Your responsibilities will include creating mood boards, concept boards, and gathering references to prepare asset proposals. Working within gameplay and technical constraints, you will be tasked with producing top-notch assets. Collaboration with texture artists, level artists, and level designers will be an integral part of your role. Your main duties will revolve around creating realistic 3D models and textures, encompassing architecture, organic objects, and props in alignment with the artistic direction, production deadlines, and technical specifications. You will sculpt/model UV & texture, integrating high & low polygon meshes in a PBR pipeline. Additionally, you will be responsible for verifying the quality of in-game objects, making necessary improvements to meet technical constraints and artistic direction. To qualify for this role, you should hold a College Diploma/Degree in graphic design, 3D, video game development, or have equivalent training. A minimum of 3-5 years of experience in the games industry with expertise in industry 3D packages like 3DSMax & ZBrush is required. Previous experience working on published AAA games will be considered a strong advantage. In terms of skills, you must possess expert knowledge of 3DSMax, ZBrush, Substance Painter, and Photoshop. An excellent grasp of real-time modeling techniques such as shaders, PBR, normal, displacement, etc., is essential. Your portfolio should showcase your 3D art skills and demonstrate a high level of artistic creativity. Familiarity with the game development cycle and a good understanding of architecture will be beneficial. Furthermore, organizational skills, time management abilities, and excellent English communication skills (both spoken and written) are crucial for this role. A considerable understanding of video games and broad video game culture is expected. Being self-motivated and agile will also be key attributes that will contribute to your success in this role.,
